The fabric systems, plainly named.
We give each cloth a name so you know exactly what you’re getting from one piece to the next. That’s all the names are — a clear label on an honest blank. No rare-fiber stories, no claims we can’t stand behind. Here is what each one actually is.
Soft-Touch Piqué™
The State PoloA mid-weight cotton-rich piqué knit with a touch of stretch and a mother-of-pearl-style placket.
Soft hand, dry on the skin, holds a press. The classic clubhouse polo weight.
TourMatte Stretch™
The Performance State PoloA four-way-stretch matte jersey with UPF 50+ and moisture-managed yarns.
Cooler and more forgiving through the swing. Matte, not shiny. Made for warm rounds.
Brushed Interlock™
The Long-Sleeve State PoloA brushed cotton-blend interlock with a ribbed cuff.
A little warmth without bulk. The shoulder-season polo.
Loopback Fleece™
The Clubhouse CrewneckA brushed cotton-loopback fleece, roughly 320 gsm.
Substantial without being heavy. Soft loops on the inside, clean face on the outside.
Morning-Layer Brushback™
The State Quarter-ZipA brushed cotton-blend with underarm mesh and a YKK-style zip.
The first-tee layer. Brushed face, breathable underarm, easy over a polo.
Featherbox Quilt™
The State GiletA box-quilted recycled-down fill under a water-repellent shell.
Light warmth across the core, packs down small, sheds a passing shower.
Fine-Gauge Knit™
The State SweaterA fine-gauge cotton-blend knit with a half-zip neck.
Smooth, close knit that layers under a jacket without bunching.
Combed Ring-Spun™
The State TeeA combed ring-spun cotton jersey, roughly 180 gsm.
Smooth, even surface and a clean drape. An everyday weight.
Washed Twill™
The State CapA washed cotton twill, six panels, with a brass buckle closure.
Soft from the first wear. Unstructured crown that relaxes; brim curls with use.
Performance Poly-Twill™
The Performance Rope CapA performance poly-twill with a rope detail and a snapback closure.
Holds its shape, dries quickly, takes the sun. The hot-round cap.
Full-Grain Leather™
The State BeltA full-grain leather strap with a solid-brass buckle.
Stiff at first, then takes a patina that is yours alone. The grain shows because it is real.
Good blanks, well chosen.
We don’t weave our own cloth. We choose well-made apparel blanks for fit and function, then put the work where it counts: the crest, stitched not printed, and the finishing. The fabric names above describe those blanks faithfully. If a piece is a cotton blend, we say so. If it’s washed twill, we call it washed twill. The romance is in the crest and the round it’s made for — not in dressing up the material.
